This Children's Day, Dedicate These 8 Songs To Kids

14th of November is here to embrace your love for kids! Every year, we celebrate this as Children's Day in India; we show our affection and care towards children. 14th November marks the birth of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the initial prime minister of free and independent India. His birthday is celebrated as Children's Day. He adored kids and worked for their rights, hence being called "Chacha Nehru" by children.

Although Children's Day sounds like a day meant for children to celebrate and enjoy in schools, it is significant to increase children's rights and care about their education. Children Day has been celebrated in India since 1956, but at that time, it was celebrated on the 20th of November instead of the 14th. It was only after Pt. Nehru's death in 1964 that Children's Day was started to celebrate on the 14th of November. In 1955, he established the Children's Film Society of India so that Indian youngsters might see themselves depicted on screen. He was instrumental in the development of some of India's most prestigious educational institutions. His vision was instrumental in founding AIIMS for medical, IITs for engineering, and IIMs for management studies. Nehru's influence lives on through the education of India's youngsters. He stated, "Today's youngsters will build tomorrow'. The way we raise children will decide the country's destiny."

Children's Day is celebrated in schools with music and performances by the teachers and other staff for the students. They sing harmonious Hindi Karaoke Songs, dance to classic songs, and do some good skits. Then sweets are served to children, making it a memorable day. Below are some of the best songs you can play and sing this Children's Day!

Jawahar Lal Nehru immensely cared about children because, according to him, children can play without thinking of any differences. This line means a lot as he was a great believer in unity in diversity, and the 'differences' here refer to the differences in caste, religion, etc. It is only When we grow up, we think about the differences between other people and ill-treat others. But, on the other hand, children are far away from this thinking; they always think about love and making the world a better place to live in.
